What I learned
Trying to learn more about how LLMs work in order to optimize my flows and get the most out of my claude code subscription AND hopefully not get replaced by AI
Went from basics - neural nets, how do they work, what an LLM is and the big moving parts. Basic stuff. But the difference in trying to understand these things now vs say 3-4 years ago is huge, I can notice myself asking good questions which helps understand these things better which is good.
Also, the maths is genuinely complex, I found this amazing video which gives a flavour of how LLMs work - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMlx5fFNoYc took me some time and multiple watches and brainstorming with LLM to understand what’s happening but it was worth it. Probably got 20% of it. Goal for next week is to understand K, Q, V, W and other lingo in enough depth to explain it to my cat :)
Zone 2 training is hard lol since you know you can push much harder yet you have to control yourself and then get below average numbers, mentally challenging in its own way. Hopefully it works, guess we’ll find out.
